Forgot Boot Password

Ok Im new to this forum and I have a problem. My dad put a boot password on our IBM Windows ME computer. And he forgot the password. I was just wondering if there was a way to recover it ore bypass it the whole way cause we cant even get to the Windows ME login screen.

Turn off and unplug computer. Remove the round silver battery on your motherboard for 45 seconds, put it back in and turn computer on. You can also move your jumpers. but that should do it.

but yes, clear the CMOS by doing what mandingo said.

may i ask WHY you are still running windows ME....i hated that OS with a passion.....

Win ME was possibly bills worst creation. it should be deleted from this planet.

when you get it to work, might you consider windows 2000?
