First, thanks in advance to anyone who reads this. I genuinely appreciate your time. I will be checking back often to give any more information that anyone requests about this problem.
Problem: Have yet to get any video output from a new computer that was assembled today. Don't hear any beeps from a POST test either...none at all, but:
Situation: All the parts for my friend's new computer came in the mail today from newegg and we put everything together following motherboard instructions.
I get power to all case fans, LEDs and
I can hear the HD in motion upon boot, and
can feel air from the graphics card fan(connected with a DVI-to-SVGA adapter) (and it's got two of the 6 pin PCI-E connectors running to it from the power supply)...
Components:
EVGA 122-CK-NF68 board
2 gigs corsair xms DDR2-800 (pc6400) ram
150 gig Western Digital Hard Drive (SATAII 3gb/s)
EVGA Nvidia GeForce 8800 GTX 768mb PCI-Express graphics card
Intel Conroe e6600 Core 2 Duo chip 2.4 ghz
Stock heat sink
XCLIO a380 case
Thermaltake Toughpower 700watt Powersupply
Anyway, I have no clue where the problem is, and I would like help in narrowing down the possible component(s) that could be faulty.
Thanks!
