computer doesnt boot and dvd makes noise

i have 2 sticks of ocz value pro ddr2 512mb and one of them didnt work and has been sent out for rma. the computer worked fine for months with just the one stick.

then one day it shut off buy itself. Then it started happening more and more. so i decided to refromat. it kept turing off and the it just wouldnt boot before i finished installing windows.

now all it does is turn on. it doesnt turn off anymore except nothing happens it doesnt boot. the dvd tray looks like its trying to load something. when i eject it just closes right away. i tried resetting the cmos and still nothing.

i dont know what this can be can someone please help!!!

If possible...........

If possible attach another HD & try to boot from it. If ur system boot normally without any trouble tnen d case is ur original HD is faulty.

Then u should partioning ur faulty HD with win98 bootable disk & install fresh OS to see resolve ur issue. (If win xp creates trouble then u may use win98\2000 or anything els.) Becoz i think win98\2000 rmore stable than win xp.

If ur HD is good then there may be some faulty device \ driver issue.
