upgrading

i currently have the athlon xp 2500 so what do u think my next best step would be to go to

how much do you have to spend
do you already have a monitor, keyboard, mouse, speakers
what are you using the computer for

yeah ive already got all that i meant only upgrading the cpu though.

athlon XP means its socket A so ...to get something a whole lot better your looking at a new motherboard too.

yea, you have a decent socket A proccesser, the only way to upgrade would be to get a s939 board.
