Not a bad build, I would've gotten one stick of RAM for upgradability, but otherwise, it's nice. Which monitor is that, 15" LCD? No no, way too small. You want at least 17"

Would this be a better option? I have used 15 inch before, i don't mind because they way my desk is setup i sit close to my monitor, i am using a 15 crt right now..... Could i do any gaming with that computer?

i advise a 17 inch monitor also.
i dont reccomend that monitor, its crap.

as far as gaming-
yes, you could play CS source and stuff like that, no hardcore games, but thats a light gaming machine. since your graphics is pci-e you can always upgrade to a better graphics card later on.

yep....the 8600 is supposed to retail for 150-160$USD......although thats when/if it comes out......

get the 7600gs for now, and upgrade later...
