Hi, I was planning to buy this motherboard "GIGABYTE GA-8I955X Royal". However, I realized that Intel Core 2 duo processors are not suitable for it.

so, now I am trying to get something similar to this motherboard from gigabyte + compatible with core 2 duo

sorry but I am not an expert in hardwar :/ so I need some information about this motherboard please.

1. Can I overclock ?
2. Will I get a great gaming performance with it ?

It's one of the best overclocking motherboards available. Read the user reviews on newegg for more information on it.

Your 'great gaming performance' will mainly depend on your video card, memory and processor though.
