I am looking for some compatible ram

At the momnet i have pc4300 DDR2 ram (2x512mb)

i would like to purcahse another 2x512mb

Right. It doesn't work like that. You need to look at your memory specifications. What are the rated timings and voltage? Then get another 2x512mb pack that:

- is PC4300 (533mhz, don't know if it's any different than PC4200)
- has the same timings
- is preferrably the same brand

Wait, does that mean if i buy a 2gb Corsair 2x1gb pack, will it have trouble with the 2x512mb Corsair XMS already in my computer?

I have tried, but when i did a memtest there were problems with the new RAM, so i sent it back, but it did turn on my computer and i could use it.
