No, its not. The specs on the 6800 are better, but the 7300 performs better per clock cycle, since its a 7 series gpu. It also depends on which one you get, the xfx version is the best one.

Good luck on playing games with a celeron, i suggest you buy a p4 off ebay for around $60.

Thats ^^ an PCI-express card, not an AGP

No, the 7300 doesn't perform better per cycle.

There are three versions of 7300 (LE, GS and GT)

The clock speed and memory speed may vary from manufacture to another manufacture. 7300LE and 7300GS usually perform worser than 6600, and a little better than 6600LE or 6200

7300GT usually performs better than 6600 but worser then 6600GT.
But there is also a 64bit ( memory interface) version of 7300GT. The 64bit version perform a little worse than 6600.

There is 7300GT with GDDR3 memory. The GDDR3 version usually have very high clock speed, so it performs better than 6600GT and it might outperform 7600GS

I wouldint say that, i personally know someone who owns a 6600gt and a p4 and not only do games run smoother on my 7300gt, they also look better.

The two major things to compare are core speed and pipelines... Memory doesn't matter as much as the companies make it out to be.
