Weird Shutting Off Problem

Since yesterday, whenever I play OpenArena, my computer would shut itself down in the middle of a game and the power switch wouldn't turn the computer on for a few minutes or so. The strange thing is, everything worked nicely last week. I've had this problem before, but it was when I had my iPod connected to my computer. I solved that problem by disconnecting an unused expansion card and it hasn't bothered me since. Can someone tell me what the problem could be? Thanks.

sounds like ur power supply is failing because its not reproducing enough power to run the system stable. Also check ur temps on ur system in the BIOS

That's what I thought as well, but it's strange that it started randomly this week when it could play the game just fine for weeks.
