No, you pay for the right to change your motherboard or any other hardware MS think is enough to call it a new PC. They have tighter rules with OEM so it is locked to that PC and MS will not give out new codes. :(
 
Tuesday the 30th is the date for retail stores, online stores must be allowed to sell early. Or it's possible they're just taking pre orders and they're waiting until the 30th to ship.

Nope, you could walk into Overclockers and buy it over the counter. Don't know how they got it so early though. :)
 
Well, just got the flyer from Future Shop (identical to Best Buy).

Costs $180 for an upgrade of Vista, and they're throwing in a $100 D-Link Wireless-N Router on the release date, Jan.30.

But still, is it worth camping out in front of the store just to get a $100 router?
