Hi everyone,

I'm looking at buying a new LCD monitor for my computer, and i've really narrowed it down to these two monitors:
http://www.maximumsystem.co.nz/product_info.php/cPath/25_40/products_id/337
and:
http://www.maximumsystem.co.nz/product_info.php/cPath/25_40/products_id/290
(although in this one the Respone time should be 2ms, not 8ms).
I'd prefer to get the larger one, simply because its larger, but it's also more expensive. I went down to the computer shop, and saw both of these monitors, but the thing that struck me as odd, is that the larger one (on its highest res. of 1680x1050) had a refresh rate of 59Hz, and i could not change this. I thought it might be the GPU, but that was a 7600GS so it should be able to output 75Hz. This is a problem, because if i hooked an Xbox360 up to it via the VGA port, it could not play some games because they require 60Hz.
So, what monitor would you recommand (performance and price wise), and is there a way around the 59Hz refresh rate that the monitor had at that resolution?

Thanks in advance.

You can play it on different resolutions with a good rate, right?

well, personally i would get the other because of cost, but if you think it's worth it, go for the top one if you can get around your issue
good luck

The monitor goes down in resolution to 1440x900 at 75/60Hz, but I'm not sure if you can change resolutions of the monitor via an Xbox360.
