I have an 80 GB HD, and a 120 GB HD. Both are IDE, and my motherboard says that it supports RAID on both the SATA and IDE ports.

Could I set these two disks up in RAID 0?

If so, what else would I need? Sorry for the incredibly noobish question, I searched, and nothing turned up, and the google results were very inconclusive.

they dont need to be identical who told you that?? they need to be similar and i believe the parameters in terms of hdd space is 3:2 in other words 80 and 120 should work fine in a raid 0 array but you will only get 100gb hdd space. With windows xp there should be raid software to do an easy step wizard for creating the raid array i just cant remember wer to find it
