I want to overclock my laptop its got a pentium M processor and was wondering if you could give me an overclocking 101 with regards to this processor as I cant find any guides which relate to this perticular type of situation.

It depends on which laptop you have. Some you can do through software, BIOS, or hardware modification.

I don't know anything about doing it through hardware - I heard that even with this you can wreck your system since the hardware isn't meant to run with the modifications.

I know that some Asus Barebone laptops can be OCed through software.

ive got an acer travelmate 290 i found some overclocking guides but they all seem to based on a desktop system rather then a laptop. I dont think i can oc through the bios as it seems to have a very limited selection of options.
