the 9600 pro is a great card. But if u have the choice i would get the 9600xt. Its better then the pro.

I have seen a 9600xt compared to a 9800 Pro (256 bit DDR), and the 9800 Pro have a huge increase in performance and image quality. I have never seen a 128 bit 9800 Pro in action, although it's performance might be degraded, but seeing some benchmarks, it's a "bit" better than the 9600xt.
