power output of a computer case

I just discovered my new computer case does not have a power output. i was trying to plug in this old printer i had, and discovered that i could not get the power out of the pc.

is a shortcoming of my computer case or do all new computer case not have power outputs.

my old computer case has a power output.

For what i see, usually no output power for external devices from PSU. Bcosz nowaday all the external hardware got own power cable.

why did old printers have to draw power fro mcomputer case instead of from the mains.
they still had their own power cable only it plugged into the computer case rather than the mains!!

the old logic was to run everything off the main PSU, but things began to take too much power so they gave everything a wall plug. Your other computer must be a little older. plug it into the wall.
