Best Heatsink Fan?

Also, does Thermal Paste come with the processor/mobo? Or do you have to buy that seperate?

Artic silver 5 is the best but some comes pre applied on the proc.
A delta or a Tornado fan.

If you already have a stock fan can you take it off (getting the zalman9500 and as5) and apply that even though you already have the stock thermal paste melted on the processor?

Before you apply the cnps9500 and as5, you have to clean the stock thermal paste off the processor.

Edit: Is a tiny bit of alcohol the correct way to do it? That is what I just read on a different forum.

Nope...I'm just not sure what kind of that rubbing alcohol stuff you need to use. I'm sure someone here knows.

How does the stock heatsink come off? Just pull hard?

I use regular household rubbing alcohol and a lint free cloth. Get it all of. then put a little bit of AS5 on the cpu and smooth it out slighty, then just set the hsf on it.


If you want the best possible cooling power I think the tuniq tower is the king. it is ****ing huge but works. You put a delta 180cfm fan in it. o ya.
