building new pc

hello tech forums... posting after a VERY long while

i need help building a new PC...
mainly going to be used for music / movies / entertainment / school work. I'm thinking of getting a dual core intel processor with about 2gb of ram and a 500gb hard drive with a decent video card.. tips for brands?

POWER SUPPLY: HIPER 480W or Antec 550W
PROCESSOR: Core 2 Duo e6300
RAM: 2GB DDR2-800 (Corsair, OCZ, or G. Skill)
HD: You mentioned a 500GB (Seagate or Western Digital)

No.

but the 6600 has 4mb cache vs 2..but u cant afford it...so get the 6300.
