Case lighting questions

I've searched here on the forums and found that besides for Led Fans, Cold Cathodes are another best for case lighting.

I'm going to be building my pc in a couple of months and would like to have something that's awesome on the outside as well as the inside.

Where is the best position in the case for cold cathodes?

I also was wondering if there are replacement bubble lights for a case like this: Click here for link

I'd rather have purple but haven't found a black case with purple lights.

Just put the cold cathodes at the top and the bottom or sides.

That's what I thought.

After looking a pics of cases on here I thought of modding an old case I have, but not sure if I have the time for the construction or even what to do exactly

Just mod the one you have now its really easy just go to home depot and buy some plexiglass and then buy lights and cables and all that good stuff.
