Ok, i'm finally going to get a Conroe build, my opty has just lost....something. Anyway, heres what i plan on putting in it:

I must note, i am not that big of an overclocker (i mess with it time to time), so the RAM will do me. I'll be reusing everything else (PSU, Optics) Oh yea, anyone know anything on this case? its should fit a standard VC right?

(My budget is just around $500, so if you have any comments on changing a part, try and keep it around the price of the orginal that i picked)

You can't really put together a system now. You don't know what AMD will have to offer (graphics & CPU) and what Intel and Nvidia will do to compete against it.

Memory prices should also drop pretty much by then.

You may want to pick up a better hard drive. Most of the 80GB drives fail due to poor quality.

looks good, however I suggest better ram, higher quality such as Corsiar, OCZ, G.Skill etc.

Segate is also a better choice for a non-crashing HD.

that 8600gt(if the hype is real) is going to be a killer card for the price....

i'll see what i can do about the RAM, for the HD.... i'll look into that as well.

As for waiting to see what AMD is going to release, i dont really care, i dont need the BIG and BADDEST as some people do. I build it and let it last for a year or two with a few upgrades then build a new one
