If i were you I would save money on the soundcard and buy better speakers.

Go with:

SB Audigy 2ZS + z5300

instead of:

Fatal1ty + x-530

The combo i mentioned is FAR superior to any sound card paired with those x-530.

Cheap logitechs are not very good. If you must have speakers costing under 100$, go with these:

Just remember when shopping for speakers, any specs basically mean nothing to a certain point. The only way to tell which are most appropriate or sound best is if you test and hear them yourself.

Oh just a side note on the 2.0 Gigaworks...

I have them myself and they are VERY clear sounding and are more powerful then necessary.

Also check out this guy on newegg's review for a comparison to the x-530's.

Quoted: Pros: Sound is rich and clear. Bass is accurate without the annoying distortion that's common in lesser speakers.

Cons: What's with equipment makers thinking people actually want bright power indicator lights?

Other Thoughts: When I ditched my bulky CRT for an LCD, I figured it didn't make much sense to have a sub and a mess of wires. What I didn't expect was this 2.0 setup to totally outclass my old 5.1 X-530's.
