Hi all,

I have an old P4 @3.0 ghz running an Asrock motherboard and I have installed a new graphics card the Ati Radeon x1600 512 ram.The thing that I am worried is that my AGP slot runs on 1.5 v and it says not to install a 3.3 V AGP card.Does the Ati Radeon x1600 uses a 3.3 V and will it cause any damage?

Thanks

4x runs on 1.5 volts 8x runs on .8 volts unless its universal 3.3 volts

X1600 operates at reduced clock-speed at 0.95V voltage setting it scale both clock-speed and voltage up when extra performance is required. According to the company, the voltage can be boosted up to 1.2V, whereas maximum voltage of desktop RADEON X1600 chip is 1.3V.

I have agp mobo and i just got a gainward 7800 512mb card, runs fine, but if i play a fully pumped up graphics game for a while it seems to be over heating but the control center says its fine, im gunna get new cooling, so just try the card.
