I recently got a logitech keyboard and mouse set. The mouse is an MX600 and is laser.
A while ago i got this allsop mouse mat i think it's made of slate and was ideal for my old optical mouse but with the laser it's sluggish and not ideal for gaming.

I've looked at 2 replacements and both look fine but i'm just a bit unsure of which to go for. So i'm hoping some people out there perhaps have knowledge of these mats and can pass on they're thoughts.

The two mats are:

i used a track mouse to try to paly Quake 3 Rocket Arena... then i crawled out of the hole! I GOT OPTICAL-ILLUZIONZ!!

I have a optical wireless. (Dont ever get a wireless for gaming). I am working on getting a RaZer.

I have this mouse. It is probably 10 bucks in the US. It works great. I get headshots all the time. Even against people with so called "gaming mice". lol

Also, if you wat to get good at FPS games, try opening the game in a smaller window and see how you do. Especially for people with large monitors.
I have a 17". If I open ET in a smaller window my aim gets even better.
If it works for you, get a smaller monitor.

id say avoid wireless cause they can cause lags in gaming, and its all about comfort for gaming, find a mouse that fits your hand

another point when playing FPS increase mouse sensativity in improve reaction time on the mouse, helps

same^^

theres a diffrence betweent turning up the sensistivity on a gaming mouse and turning up the sensitivity on a cheap optical.....it creates two different kinds of lag.....
