DVD-writer/combo, sound card, and other stuff coming from my current PC!

My only question is can I do better on the ram? I'm really not sure as to what are good timings and speeds for DDR2 as I have only used DDR in the past. The whole twice the speed for higher latency trade off confuses me. Can anyone explain to me how big of an impact the latency timings are on overall system performance?

And just in case anyone is wondering this PC will be used for:

Past, present, and some future games and MP3 / DIVX encoding

Excellent system, you do need a good soundcard because the P5B onboard chip isn't said to be good. You've already got a soundcard. Any good? :)

I personally considered that P180 case but went with the P150, as silentpcreview.com touted it as its younger improved brother. Have you looked at it though? It's an excellent case. But the P180S (silver version or something?) would be a good choice too.

The RAM is a good choice, good timings and nice speed. Only get faster if you really have too much money I'd say. Do check that that memory has good SPD though, P5B Deluxe has some issues with certain memory that doesn't.

Onboard sound should work fine as long as you're done recording audio. For playing music and games it's fine.

I've decided after I work over summer I will prolly end up getting a new vid card as usual, so I'm just going with the GTS for now since it rocks just about every game out. I'm sure by the time Crysis will be out something siginificantly better will arrive like an 8900 series or such. In fact, I am declaring it a fact that it is probably very wrong to build a PC for Crysis at this point.... maybe enemy territory and ut2007.

Sound card is an audigy 2 zs. It sounds great, and I am avoiding the X-Fi series as many people have issues with them and they don't sound that much better to me. Coupled with a logitech Z-5500 5.1 speakers I don't think I have heard better audio.

And, I really like the P180 case cause everyone I know that has them has shown me in person how dead silent they are and efficient at cooling. Plus, I just really like the design since im a mech engineer.

I got a brand new X-Fi Xtreme audio last week and its made my Logitech x530's sound way better, the sound is crystal clear and the sub seems to have more punch to it( not that it sounded bad with onboard).
