x1900 xtx clocks

Like I said above, your cpu is on par with that p4 @ 3.9 ghz or maybe a little behind. Honestly, either your video card isnt stable (try 1 hour stable with ati try tools if you havent already) or your cpu overclock isnt stable (run prime 95 or orthos for atleast 12 hours for that to be considered a stable overclock).
 
well, the card was always at those clocks, even before the cpu was oc'ed.

and on the ati overdrive option it shows this:

thats default. all im wondering is why they dont go up when i do the benchmark on ati tray tools.



I also raised the GPU and Mem clocks and the gpu went up to about 600 until it hit an artifact.

It sounds like you have a defective card. Even if the CPU is bottlenecking it, you should still be getting stock clocks on it.
 
I thought the XTX clocks were higher than 500/600...

Anyways, something is definitely wrong, my All in Wonder passed up all of the X1800 cards on that exact same test.
 
i also have a 500 watt power supply with 19 amps on the 12 volt.

the brand is HGE


could that have something to do with it?
