Good Free Programs

I know this is just about the most general thing I could possibly post, but can anyone tell me what good free programs they've downloaded and recommend that I download. It can be in any category and have any purpose. Just tell me the programs you think are great downloads and you recommend. Hope for some great posts!

AVG (Anti-Virus)
Outpost (Firewall)
ZoneAlarm (Firewall)
Ad-aware (Spyware Detection/Removal Tool)
Winamp (Audio Player)
Trillion (Multi-featured Messenger)

There are many more, but you need to be more specific. I've posted the basic free tools I know of.

PS: If your looking for a true free solution, get linux, almost everything is free (open-source).

Perhaps we can keep this thread going for awhile, collect as many free software programs as we can, and then possibly sticky this thread. It's up to the other users, and how likely they are to post.
