New HD suggestions

I'm looking to replace my old HD that just crashed with one that's around 200-250GB that is SATA and in the $70-80 range and was looking for some suggestions. I'm considering the 250gb Western Digital Caviar SATA but have read some reviews that say it was been dead on arrival or went out not long after getting it. Anyone know about the reliability of WD drives. I found it for $74.99 on Newegg with free shipping. Any other suggestions on a good reliable drive?

I would get the WD's that end in KS (enterprise) or one of the Seagate 250GB 16MB 7200.10

That HD is great. WD is a top-notch manufacturer. ive had mine for a while now, no problems.

I recommend Seagate drives... They are the only drives I use on my PC's....

I second the seagate recomendation, i find them to be superior, ive got 2 of em inside my rig right now.

Seagate all the way there fast Ive got 3 in my comp one 320gb and 2x 500gb theyre all 7200.10 work great.

Thanks for the help guys, I ended up going with the WD caviar because I could get a better price on it. Thanks for all of the suggestions.
