upgrade help

hey guys, i am having problems deciding what i should upgrade with, so anyway i have about $1500 to upgrade with, and i am looking at upgrading the motherboard, cpu, gpu and i need a sound card, atm i am running

CPU: AMD Athlon XP 2600+

GPU: NVIDIA GeForce 7600 GS 256 MB

Motherboard: Albatron KM18G Pro

i would like to play games on the comp, so any help would be appreciated, cyas.

Well with that kind of money you can get a really nice new system. No point in keeping that processor or video card. Best to go with a conroe 2 setup, gskill memory, asus p5b motherboard, 7950gt video card, ocz power supply...or something along those lines...
