I was told earlier to get a PSU seperate from the case, but I am at a budget of $500 and that would mean loosing half my RAM to do that. So I decided to get it with the case. According to the reviews, it's a plenty decent PSU. Anyway here are the parts. Please tell me if there are any problems, or better choices than what we picked that are the same price.

Thanks :)

The motherboard and CPU will not work together.

I would suggest getting a good PSU seperate from the case unless you want to take a large chance of being $500 in the hole.

Your mobo doesn't support C2D or even Pentium D, just P4/Celeron D.
Your video card is going to be pretty poor too....
Why do you want C2D specifically? It's a fast proc but it's not good for your budget. For just the chip alone you've spent nearly half of it and everything else is going to suffer. I would highly recommend going with
a lower end dual core processor and getting a higher quality gpu/psu/mobo. You'll have a faster system overall this way instead of one that totally bottle necked by your grahics card. Unless of course you don't play games at all, then it's no problem.

yea it will work with that mobo, but try and get another 50 bucks or so at least in on the video card.

also, now your memory wont work with that motherboard, the one you just posted is DDR2 667, the one you selected is DDR 400 it will not fit so you need to change that.

something along these lines http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16820141188

and that would save you 40 or so and put it into the vid card.

thats a tough budget tho for a c2d, id take jorsofts advice and go with a different chip.

that works, and yea an ATX case will work with a micro board...a micro case wont work with a ATX board as the board is bigger and most likely wont fit in the case, but you should be fine now.

Thanks :)

It's about $530 after shipping, but we have to wait for the mobo to become available. Not bad I don't think.

As long as you get a nicer gpu then yeah i think that's about as good as you can do. And we're serous about the video card, the first one you posted sucks even for basic gaming.
