would like to know what u think are the best parts at that price range. all the way from power supply, prosesser to case. thanks

yep^^ beat me to it nukem....
thats pretty much all of the best, most stable, solid parts for that price tag......
lol but dont listen to me, if i was building a 2000$ rig, id still use AMD......im just that way....Opteron for life!!!!!!!!:)

my first PC ever was built for me and was AMD so i just stuck with AMD untill now, i just ordered a new rig and chose AMD so i dont really know how diff AMD is to intel could you tell me?

i know intels run alot hotter then the equivelent in AMD

yeah my first was intel and it lasted 2 months so i am always sticking with AMD now. I got the worst reviewd stuff for this new 3rd Amd computer and it lasted longer than that intel computer. Alot longer.

Eh, you could still do better.

You could add another DVD drive (same as you have picked out), and get a better motherboard (Bad Axe 2, as long as you aren't going SLi): http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16813121059

You could also get a HSF instead of using the stock one. I heavily recommend the Tuniq Tower 120. Best on the market:

Also, don't get a PNY 8800GTX, it's more expensive than other 8800GTX models. Go for the eVGA one, plus it comes with a $30 mail-in rebate: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16814130072
