Sql ????

I am trying to clean out unnecessary files from my computer and I've come across something called SQL Server. Do I need this stuff on my computer?? I'm just trying to make sure I don't delete something that my computer needs. And should I delete things to the recycle bin and then reboot my computer to see if everything is okay before I permanently delete things??? I am obviously not a computer whiz!!

no you don't need it. as a matter of fact, how did you even get it? you can stop it from starting by going to Services and stopping it.

Yes I too am curious how the heck it got on the machine? Was this a server at one time or another? As mentioned you do not need it if it is for home use, but if it is a server somewhere someone may be using it.
