The system is 100% completly listed, speakers and cpu paste & extra fan etc etc

good rig.
3800 can overclock to around 2.8 if your mobo will let it, but you will probably need to upgrade cooling (worry about that later). c2d's will overclock better. e6300 is 50.00 more.
all in all i think this is a good gaming rig.
price/performance has dropped in the intel/amd fight. now, at 50.00 less, the 3800 is the better bang/buck cpu, imo.
when they were 8.00 apart, no question...

Wow that's pretty expensive for a 400W power supply, but enermax is a known brand of PSU. That ram is a little low for overclocking. Try looking for DDR2 800 (PC26400) ram. You'll get better overclocks with that. Like these:

what micro atx mobo under $100 is good for OC, 775, PCI-E, PCI, DDR2 800 CAPABLE??

It's a more known brand of ram for overclocking, and it's DDR2 800, so you'll get better overclocks. I don't know of microatx motherboards that is under the $100 range that is good for overclocking. Very limited choices.

I suggested the first one. But I don't really see a difference between the two. They look exactly the same. The 10666MHz/800Mhz is fine for core 2 duo. The 1333MHz/1066Mhz, is for those motherboards that are quad-core ready.
