Nothing Will Turn On!

Trying to build my first computer and I get ready to turn it on but nothing will turn on, not even the fans. The only thing that turns on is a red LED light on the motherboard, I checked the manual and it says that the LED light means its ready to be turned on. I even took everything off except the CPU, CPU Heatsink, I stick of RAM, and hooked up the PSU and still nothing turns on except that one LED light. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

sounds like the connections for the power button are on wrong, check the manual from ur mobo.

yeah, i just checked to make sure the power button is connected on the right place and still nothing. If it helps my motherboard is a Biostar TForce 6100-939 and ive got a AMD athlon venice 3200.

Your motherboard is getting power, But like Bruce was pointing out There is no signal telling the mobo to startup,
Double check all cables, and make sure nothing can be shorting it

How do I check if nothing is shorting the motherboard?

check the psu and make sure its set to 115 and not 220.

i am not 100% positive but i am pretty sure you gotta clear the cmos jumper

Looks like a DOA. Mine died while it still gave that power LED.

Make sure you plugged in your 4 pin cpu connector, should be somewhere around the cpu.
