I have come across a problem with my setup.
i am going to have to upgrade my power supply to be able to get a graphix card.
What type of spec pc could i get for £250 that could play WoW on high and get a good fps, and play CS:S and HL2?

lets seeee.... my setup
2ghz pentium 4 original core
512mb ram
nvidia geforce fx5200 128mb
250w psu

For £250 i could get...
Retail Boxed AMD Athlon 64 3800 Venice Core 512k 90nm Socket 939Pin
10
£53.85

Asus A8V-VM SE 939 DDR400 On Board VGA PCI-E LAN
8
£32.10

400MHz 184Pin 1GB PC3200 DDR RAM DIMM 2.5V 3.2Gb/Sec
74
£52.00

Novatech GeForce 7600GS 256MB DDR2 SLI, DVI, VGA, PCI-E
31
£55.75

550W ATX Power Supply for AMD, P3 and P4 mainboards 24Pin

Would that setup get a decent framerate in those games?
I want to run WoW and well all of them on high though.

how about this?

AMD Athlon 64 3700+ Socket939 - 58.97

Asus A8V-VM-SE - 31.01

500w AKASA PAXPower ATX 2.2 - 58.62

the 3700 has a 1MB L2 cache... a better CPU for a little more. with that, you don't need more than a 500W AT MOST... a 400 would probably work as well...

if you keep the GPU, RAM from Novatech that would be a decent setup and get some pretty good FPS...

the motherboard is uatx? what does that mean?
and also, will that cpu outpreform a 3.6ghz pentium 4?

it's a micro ATX board... and yes it will out perform most INTEL chips of that time frame. I've got the same CPU in my kids machine and it still moves when he's gaming.
