I cant breath!!! I tried to cut/paste a folder from one location to another and now i cant access that folder and its no where else to be found in the orignal place and none of its files are present !!!!!!!!!!!!

Please help as it is more then 20 gb of long nights and days of downloading throw slow torrents and p2p programs

does Windows give you a message saying "access denied" or something?

Yes it does and when i try to check the properties of the folder it says 0 kilobite which make me wonder where did my 20 gig go.

follow these instructions:

1. reboot the PC

2. before Windows loads, press F8

3. choose Safe Mode

4. once it boots up, log on to the account called "Administrator" (this only shows up in Safe Mode)

5. once you have logged on, right click the folder, and go to "Sharing and Security"

6. click the "security" tab

7. click "advanced"

8. go to the "owner" tab

9. click your user name

10. click "replace owner on subcontainers and objects"

11. click "apply"

12. reboot

Dude your a life saver ! words cannot describe how grateful I am to you but can you please try to explain briefly what exactly happened here.

I'm not sure why, but the permissions must have been changed or reset. my only guess is that the P2P program might have done it - but that's a wild guess.
