How far do you think I could push a 4400+ on stock heatsink/fan? I can't afford third-party cooling at the moment, so I'm stuck for a while.

Right now I've got the clock at 210Mhz (stock is 200) and it idles at 35C. From what I understand I'm safe for a while higher with temp but I don't want to push the CPU too far.

go as far as the stock voltage will allow you.
if you dont increase voltage, you wont increase heat.
which (i think your mobo is better than mine) i figure will probably be about 230-235. if you have x11 multi thats around/a little over 2.5
then wait until you get a zalmann or better cooling.
check those temps, you may be able to push it up another 1/4-1/2 V.

What kind of aftermarket cooling should I get, one that's proven good with a 4400+.

I've heard good things about Zalman, never researched that much.

cnps9500 and some arctic silver 5
follow arctic silver insructions, they say place a small bb in the center.
vs zalmann who says spread it all over cpu.
