I'm thinking about getting a webcam, but I'm a bit concerned that I may have a problem. I have a laptop, running windows m.e...and it has no sound. It doesn't detect the sound card. So my question is, basically, am I likely to need a working sound card in order to install and use a webcam? I'm not bothered anymore about the simple fact that I have no sound, and can't record sound either, because it's been that way for months. I'm just a bit bothered that this might mean I can't use a webcam.
