I want 512MB of memory only because I plan to stick with this card for a long time, No DX10 for me, least not until games start coming out which could be like next year, and I want the 512MB of memory for Textures and such.

1.1 ns memory is pretty spiffy too

I've got a 7900GT with 512MB. Unlucky then Lord Anthrax, that's one thing voltmodding can't do. Just kidding.

Are they really the same by the way? I mean... same chips, same hardware, same quality? Does the extra $100-150 come in the higher clock speeds or is the GTX actually better tested quality like with the C2D procesors?

I see all these GTO's and 7950's with 512 MB of memory and Im like oh c'mon nvidia.


I hope this to be my last card for a while. I spend way too much money in this hobby

look on ebay last week there was some 7900gtx's going for around 250

Phrantic; The 7900GTOs were released a few weeks before the G80s came out as a quick way to clear the inventory of the old 7900GTXs. Also, there was the 7950GT released which performs near the same as the 7900GTX as well.
