Master File Table (MFT) is 53 GB

hi,

i have a 80GB hard disk where 3GB free. 13 GB takes data... and the rest??? i ve scanned the HD with several programs. so i get the information that the Fileinformations (filenames, filesize, filechangetime,etc.) takes 53 GB. I think this is the Master File Table of the NTFS.

i think this was caused by a write error (switching off the pc while writing for example)

Does anybody know a program how i can seek the NTFS or debug it?

run scandisk. go mycomputer, right click on hardrive->properties->tools->checknow
you may have to reboot
