I just got my 120gb WD hdd and i want to install it do i just plug it in to and windows recognizes it or what?

Are the jumper pins set to slave? If so, then when you connect it, windows should recognize it right away.

ok i got everything except the jumper my neighbor has some so i will get those tmrw but another thing is my hdd doesnt have it marked slave, master and etc. Which one is slave?

No it's not labeled like that. You have to set the jumper pins to slave. The label on the HDD, will tell you how to set the jumpers to slave.

It says you dont have to set the jumpers to master/slave on a serial ata.

Oh you never told me it was an SATA. So just make sure in the BIOS that it's not first in the list of boot priority. Your hard drive that has windows on it, should be at the top of the list.

Ok cool thank you so i dont need any jumpers?

P.S. what button do i press to get in the bios i forgot?

Yea you don't need any jumpers. Theres a few buttons that get you to the BIOS. I guess it depends on the motherboard. Before the windows logo shows, press either F1, F2, or the DEL button.
