PSU and Case: Not decided yet (Some recommendations?)

I'm going to be using an old 19" monitor, keyboard and mouse, old speakers and a 80GB HDD as a backup drive.
Could you give your opinion on what you think is good and what needs changing and what wattage PSU do you think i would require?
Thanks

Thanks for the help on the CPU front, so you reckon i will need around 500 watts? I suppose it will be future proof if i do get a PSU like that.

It won't be future proof. If you wanted future proof you would get a 8800GTS/GTX.

********, 7950 is future proof enough and will last you a good three years as all (or any) DX10 games that have come out by then will be DX9 compliant.

Moreover it's unwise to jump on the first wave of DX10 cards since you can't even tell how well these cards perform in DX10 games... You can always upgrade later, no system is 100% future proof if you want top notch all the time.

What i meant was i thought 500 watts was a bit excessive but could be used in future when i get better parts that require more power. Also what is the point of buying a DX10 card now anyway? It pretty much means you are stuck with vista and the first series probaly will be terrible in comparison to newer models. Also ATI is bringing out the r600 soon so why spend all that money now when Nvidia will be forced to drive down prices to combat ATI's offering.

500watt psu will last you a while.

It seems not very people have an opinion about the build and are more interested in trying to find flaws in what i am saying...
