P4 1.8Ghz to 3.0Ghz+, Worth The Upgrade?

I just upgraded from penitum 4 1.5ghz/400 fsb/256 cache to 2.8ghz/800 fsb/512 cache and there's been a HUGE performance jump. I've read that the Athlon 64's perform a little better in gaming, but in the other programs Pentium 4 performs quicker.

And it is only 512k cache (i am interested in 1mb), and I can`t seem to find the FSB. For the same price, I can get a P4 3.0Ghz - 1mb Cache - 800 FSB. Which would be the better buy?

U mean that U r interested in INTEL PRESCOTT.
Its better to avoid it completely until it gets a new socket.
Its performance is not that good and it generates a lot of heat.
