No switch. Its just a y splitter. Both keyboards connect to device, then device to PC.
I am an IT guy for a manufacturing plant where PC's run machinery. My boss is always looking for ways to increase production. So having one centralized control point doesn't cut it. This way you can change settings on a machine from different spots without adding another pc.
