sound card driver needed

Hello,

How can I know exactly what sound card do I have so I can download the driver for it ?

Take it out and look at it.

start, run, type dxdiag hit enter.

most of the times if you need the driver your OS (or windows does) will only display the type of device

eg.

"multimedia controller" or something similar it wont tell you the brand and model as you need the driver for this, easiest way is to look at it as suggested above

Sound tab in dxdiag will do the job, no need extra software. But something like everest is nice to have, lots of information on your system.
