Im heading to LGA 775/intel/8800gtx soon.. pretty much same thing you have Asus PB5E/C2d E6600.. Winfast Leadtek 8800GTX.. maybe a OCZ Gamestream 600w PSU.. my current one barely makes the cut.

Title says it all. As far as the AMD CPU socket types go, whitch is the all around best for gaming purposes.

from what i have gathered, socket 939 overclocks a little better.
better meaning higher.
but my am2 4200 does very well for me, i have just hit the wall with the overclock.
for now...heh heh heh.
