odd annoyance from new system

Hello all,

I just built a new system:

Core2duo 6600
Intel Board DG965WH
2gb RAM

Everything works perfect, however whenever i power on the computer the fans and hardware turn on for 2secs then off. The funny thing is after that it powers back up again and everything is fine. I have no crashes or other issues. I was wondering if anyone has encountered this problem before.

Sounds like a cold boot issue.


I would just ignore it.

Not to hijack the thread, but I'm getting the same problem, all the lights and fans turn on and then it all fades down for a couple of seconds and then it powers back up. What exactly is a cold start?
