Im not sure but if i take the hard drive out will there be a problem putting it in another computer i already have since both would have operating systems on them?

Another question, Anyone know if i can take the motherboard out of a gateway 300S micro case and put it in another atx case?

For your first question, sure but you would have to remove the IDE/SATA connection for the first drive and connect the drive that you've got to the board.

And yes for your second question, just remember to strike the back plate out and pop it in to the new one.

1. yes you could do that, but you would run into problems with it due to it having an OS on it. it would conflict with the primary OS, doable, yes... but make sure you have the second hard drive (the one you take out of the dead system) set as a slave, before you do it.

2. yes... usually no problem with removing / moving parts into new cases.

1. You will have a problem as the 2 pc's will have difference ide controller drivers and the O/S will not be able to boot. You will get BSOD.

2. Yea, you shouldn't have any issues with transfering it into another case.
