I have WMP11 installed, but it will not let me rip CD's. It doesn't seem to recognize the format. Am I just missing a codec or driver?

You have Windows Media Player 11, and it will not let you rip CD's?

So try something else.

I downloaded the codec pack, but it still says WMP cannot find the files, however the CD is recognized as audio by the drive.

I'm on the rip tab, and on the upper left it lists the media as audio CD, but doesn't detect any tracks on it. Then when I go into explorer and manually open the files, it says it cannot find the file. The file format is whatever comercially produced CDs are.

when I insert it, it doesn't play. the default program is WMP. All the songs are shown in explorer.
