Going from 6800GS to 7600GT???

Yeah my 6800GS is all unlocked,I might be able to pull off a 7900GS but we'll see,My father in law want's a bigger vid card so i might sell him mine,Or i might just grab a couple other thing's instead of getting a card,Really wanting to get a little folding farm set up so i need a router etc and some more ram

The 7600GT outperforms the 6800ultra by 5%-10%, so no he will not lose performance if he upgrade to 7600GT.

But he will not gain a lot of performance, so thats why I recommend to upgrade to 7900GS.

If you are using tom's to get that figure then consider this the agp system used in the test is a fair amout slower than the pci express system. That's why you can't compare the numbers between the two interfaces.
