I hopped on eBay for the heck of it. I'm from Canada so Newegg won't work and I need to be concerned about stuff coming from the US for duty purposes.

3.0 Prescott

Of course the 3.4 would be better, but would it be that much better to spend the extra over the 3.0 or would the 3.0 make me happy enough.

I was just reading. A Prescott and a Northwood with equivalent clock speeds even with the lower cache a Northwood will come out on top most of the time. So with a 3.0 Northwood I should notice a good improvement, but a 3.0 Prescott not so much. This sucks.
