For those of you out there that don't have the cash to buy $20-30 round IDE cables.

20 - 30 dollars??? I'm not saying making your own isn't a neat idea, but I picked all mine up for less than 5 dollars each at svc.

In reference to your rounded cable needs.... www.svc.com is where I've purchased a couple sets. Less than 15 to connect my Cd drives and 2 hard drives, and floppy drive

it's just the old trick of breaking the ide cables into slits of 5 lines each, then wrapping them up with tape or something, so it's not a wide air flow blocking cable.

its an intresting idea but chances are that ul screw up and cut into a wire i mean thers like 20 little wires!
