For those of you out there that don't have the cash to buy $20-30 round IDE cables.

You can create your own round IDE cables by using your existing ones.

How? Click here to find out.

20 - 30 dollars??? I'm not saying making your own isn't a neat idea, but I picked all mine up for less than 5 dollars each at svc.

I meant $20-30 for all of the cables.. :)

Check this out.

Where did you get your cables from again?

Link doesn't work

In reference to your rounded cable needs.... www.svc.com is where I've purchased a couple sets. Less than 15 to connect my Cd drives and 2 hard drives, and floppy drive :)

it's just the old trick of breaking the ide cables into slits of 5 lines each, then wrapping them up with tape or something, so it's not a wide air flow blocking cable.
